Please excuse the lack of communication for the last few months.
Most of my time, other than working Full time, family obligations and the occaisional quick whip around the house with a duster, has been taken up with the organization of the Biggest event I personally, have ever been involved in organizing.
And may I say, THE BIGGEST SUCCESS.
KICK UP YOUR HEELS AT AVOCA will be remembered for a long time by 78 delegates from W.A., S.A., VIC., TAS., QLD., and from all over N.S.W. And of course 12 of the GOSFORD RED HATTERS.
Those of the GRH's that didn't stay certainly made their presence known at the Bollywood Night, Bowls and the Farewell Dinner
A big THANK YOU has to go to Lesley Brooks and Gail Green. Without these 2 wonderful red hatters and friends, the whole event could not have happened. Thanks also to Pat Garnet for spending a whole day with me making Friendship Bags.
Thanks also to the girls who came and helped with the setting up.
I'm hoping that we can really get our Website running a bit better than it has been. Gill needs information and photos if it is to keep up with other chapters sites, so please if you have information, please contact Gill and we will get it on the Web. I would like to havce a secdtion for birthdays of the month, those who have not been well, and general info.
We all need to be involved, this is OUR Chapter.

Diedre organized a great day for us on Sydney Harbour for our Coffee Cruise. What a laugh!. Everyone thought we were part of the GAY MARDI GRAS. We were even more popular than usual.
I would like to put forward the suggestion for the Christmas Party. I was thinking maybe a Progressive Dinner...
Hire a bus, 1st stop Cocktails, 2nd Entree and Main and 3rd. Dessert and Coffee.
It would probably be a bit expensive but I would be happy to start taking LAY-BY'S once I do a pricing.
Let me know your thoughts on this.
